Study Groups

Study groups are 50- to 60-minute small group sessions on predetermined writing topics and are taught by apprentice tutors. Study groups count toward the 5-hour supplemental learning requirement for English 500, 550, 450, and 1A.

Study groups at the Writing Center are limited to eight participants.  Making an appointment for Writing Center study groups is strongly suggested although walk-ins may attend if space is available.  Appointments may be made up to six business days in advance.

Plan on arriving 10 minutes before the study group begins. If you arrive late, you may lose your reserved spot to a student on the waitlist.
