CDC Works students participated in a half day of advocacy training and then walked over to the State Department of Education and participated in the public hearing. Efforts to reinstate funding were successful and allowed the students to feel that they can make a difference. All CDC Works students participated in a campaign effort directed towards our public officials to raise awareness of the importance of this program before the six students and myself went to Sacramento. -- Tracy Glendenning, CDC WORKS Grant Facilitator |
