UC Berkeley's Club Cal
The University of California, Berkeley's Admission Information and Advising office, invites you to join a unique way for transfer students to take advantage of the advising and guidance of UCB Admissions Information and Advising staff which will help you be the most competitive applicant possible. Club Cal enables those who join to be part of a group of students who are serious about being a competitive applicant to Berkeley, and who will commit to working toward that goal. 1) Students need to be the first in their immediate family to attend a university and/or be from a low income backround.
2) Students may be a member of another outreach program such as PUENTE, MESA, EOPS, etc...
3) Club members will be required to communicate with a staff member from the Southern California Admissions Information and Advising office at least once a semester.
4) Club members will be required to attend a prospective student reception in the Fall and Spring.
5) Unofficial transcripts must be submitted listing all college level course work taken.
6) Updates of courses and grades must be reported at the end of each term.

UCLA's Summer Intensive Transfer Experience (SITE)
UCLA's Center for Community College Partnerships (CCCP) is pleased to announce the Summer Intensive Transfer Experience (SITE) for prospective transfer students. SITE allows students to engage in the discovery of univerisity life in general and of UCLA in particular.
General Information:
SITE is a residential program and completely FREE to you. If your goal is to attend a University of California campus, then you should spend a week at UCLA developing strong academic skills, meeting people who can assist you through the process and learning the skills required for an effective transfer experience.
SITE is a 6-day residential program that will teach students how to navigate the community college system; complete the appropriate coursework; and maximize their time in order to make a smooth, quick and successful transition to a University of California campus. SITE will also explore the role of higher education in our society.
Requirements:
Open to:
? All continuing California community college students
and
? High School graduating seniors who are planning to
attend a California community college
in the fall.
Since SITE also focuses on the resources available to students who traditionally have low transfer rates-first generation, low income, non-traditional, and/or underrepresented students, students will be selected based on who will most benefit from the program.
Note SITE takes place every summer, applications for the current year will most likely become available between March and April.
APPLICATIONS FOR SUMMER 2008 ARE DUE JUNE 1ST!
Two sessions available for SUMMER 2008
SITE 01: July 8 - 13 &
SITE 02: July 22 ? 27
