Chaffey College Programs
Counseling Center:
The Counseling staff will help you get off to the right start at Chaffey College. Through assessment, orientation and counseling, they will evaluate your skill levels, introduce you to the programs and services we have to offer, and help you develop an educational plan. The Counseling Center provides professional counselors who will guide you in your program planning and assist you with your college-related concerns. Honors Program:
The Honors Program provides an intellectual and cultural community for all capable and motivated students at Chaffey College. This is accomplished through providing smaller classes, creative and challenging coursework, academic enrichment activities and scholarships. The program additionally has established transfer agreements with designated universities guaranteeing priority consideration or acceptance. Puente Project:
A national award winning program that for over 20 years has improved the the college-going rate of tens of thousands of California's educationally underserved students. Its mission is to increase the number of educationally underserved students who enroll in four-year colleges and universities, earn college degrees, and return to the community as mentors and leaders to future generations. The Puente Program functions as a cohort and prepares students to transfer to four-year universities through curriculum, counseling and mentoring components. Gateways to Teaching Program:
This program caters to students who are interested in becoming a K-12 teacher. The program offers early guidance, support and preparation for a teaching career. As a member you will be given both valuable and accuarate information regarding the credentialing process, and will additionally be assigned to a program counselor who will help you build an efficient Education Plan, declare a major and assist in choosing a university to transfer to. Extended Opportunity Programs and Services:
EOPS is a state funded program that offers support services to economically disadvantaged students who have experienced limited success in high school and/or college. The program endeavors to ensure academic support and finanical assistance with the ultimate goal being completion of a certificate program, associate degree and/or transfer to a four-year university. Services include, counseling, priority registration, book service, transportation assistance, orientation and cultural awarness activities.
