MEASURE 'L' BOND AND MASTER PLAN

 The Measure L Bond passage provided Chaffey College an opportunity to renovate its facilities and expand its campuses through the next ten years. Click for the latest construction news and pictures of construction progress.

Funds from Measure L will rehabilitate 40 year-old classrooms, science labs and deteriorating infrastructure. It will upgrade electrical capacity and wiring for technology. The Chaffey College Master Plan is currently being updated and will include both renovation and new projects at the Rancho Cucamonga campus and the satellite centers.  The revised plan, when complete, will be posted here.

Chaffey Community College Rancho Cucamonga campus currently has 34 buildings totaling 471,250 square feet. Satellite Centers comprise an additional 30,000 square feet. Chaffey campus and satellite facilities include Rancho Cucamonga, Ontario, Fontana, Upland, Montclair, Chino and Chino Hills.

Chaffey Community College District retained 3D/International to assist the District in assessing and documenting the facility repair, rehabilitation, modernization and new construction requirements for its Chaffey campus and satellites facilities. 3D/I will act as program and construction manager during the various phases of the master plan implementation.  Other consultants are being hired to assist in planning, engineering and design of new buildings, infrastructure and landscape for both the main campus and centers.

The District wishes to invite your company to respond to Chaffey Request For Proposals (RFPs) and construction bids in accordance with your company's professional business interests. Chaffey's on-going openly competitive RFP process include services for Architectural and Engineering firms,  Hazmat studies and remediation work, Engineering consulting services, Master Planning, and traffic studies. Construction projects will range from less than $ 1 million in scope to over $ 10 million.  General information on all construction bids will be posted on the project list above.  Bid documents and plans will be available from Reliable Graphics.  View master schedule (acrobat format) to help plan what projects you may be interested in.

CONTRACTOR PERFORMANCE

Each contractor and consultant is evaluated at the end of the project using the District's standard Design Consultant Evaluation  or Contractor Evaluation form.  Contractors and consultants who fail to pass the review process will not be hired for subsequent work on the campus.  However, consultants that score well will be given additional consideration for upcoming projects.
