GREEN BUILDING 101

This workshop will provide:
  • An introduction to sustainability, green building design and the LEED rating systems
  • an explanation of LEED certification and accreditation
  • an introduction to the family of LEED rating systems and application guides; an overview of costs,summary of design and construction processes
  • and a review of the LEED NC rating system and selected criteria.

LEED TEST PREP 2-Day Intensive

WORKSHOP: LEED Test Prep 2-Day Intensive

This course will provide a complete overview of the LEED 2.2 New Construction Rating System and is designed to supplement a candidate’s preparation for the LEED New Construction Accredited Professional Exam. It will include one full day and one half day course on consecutive days.

What is LEED?

DAY ONE (8 AM-5PM) - Full-day seminar detailing the LEED Certification process and the LEED 2.2 New Construction Reference Manual. We will focus on the four main categories of the Accreditation Exam including:

  1. Knowledge of the LEED Credit Intents and Requirements
  2. Project Team Roles & Responsibilities
  3. Implementation of the LEED Process
  4. Technical Analyses of LEED Credits

An outline of the power point presentation will be provided at the class but each participant is strongly encouraged to bring their copy of the LEED New Construction Reference Manual for use throughout the class.

DAY TWO (8AM-12PM) - 1/2-day seminar will test your knowledge of the LEED Rating System. Attendees will take a mock LEED AP test that we will grade and discuss in detail in an open forum. (food and refreshments provided throughout the day)
