Program Awards

In August 2007, we won the Chefs on the Rise Culinary Competition and one of our culinary students Alice Wu competed in a cook off and beat all the local colleges and Cal-Poly.

We have also won the WCFMC (Western Collegiate Food Marketing Competition) on April 18 and 19, 2008 at Cal Poly Pomona, the teams involved presented comprehensive business/marketing plans for an array of new food products. A corporate/industry panel of judges from various local companies judged each team's 20-minute business plan presentation. Chaffey won first place in the 2-year division. In the Student Judged area we won for the 2- year Most Innovative Marketing Idea as well as the Product Most Likely to Succeed. (http://www.westerncfmc.com/)
