The Program:
The program is designed for the people interested in career advancement and employment within the consumer services industry. The program combines theory and practical applications of skills and abilities to meet the needs of employees in different areas.
The training will prepare students as Consumer Affairs Representatives in Business, Government, Education, or Non-profit Agencies. Positions include, but not limited to; loan counselors, account representatives, manager-customer services, complaint administrators, customer service call centers, work-force analysts, financial planner assistants, jr. financial counselors, credit counselors, and most entry level managerial positions.
You have the opportunity through internships and work-study experience to demonstrate your competencies prior to graduation. Employers work with you to develop management experience, problem solving, and team leading skills. You learn through a carefully balanced program empathizing the theoretical and practical aspects of consumer relations.

Your goal is to obtain a well-balanced education that will lead to immediate employment and provide a pathway to a successful career in hospitality management. This requires total involvement on your part and total commitment on the part of Chaffey College . The college is ready, are you?

Job opportunities are excellent for students who receive the Associate of Science degree or certificate in this program. Advisory Committee Provides Guidance:
The advisory committee is comprised of local industry professionals who assist you in your education. They help provide practical opportunities for you to learn as interns and through work experience. The committee also helps the college to maintain up to date programs and classes that meet the needs of the industry. Committee members service as mentors and preceptors for students.

Learn the necessary management skills "on the job" by working with local businesses.
